Just barely back from GenCon and already another big event approaches! This time it’s the very special first year for the Austin Board Game Bash. It’s a weekend long gaming convention right here in our home town. The event is oriented around playing games rather than a heavy retailer setting, so this means you get a lot of table time with a huge library of free to play games to chose from with lots of giveaways and contests.
Our schedules are still recovering from GenCon so I can’t promise when we’ll be there, but we’re definitely going either Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Since we’re going as just attendees this will be a really casual show for us, which makes it extra fun. (You mean I actually get to play other people’s games?!) We’ll probably bring a few of our own creations along just in case folks haven’t played them yet, and there will be Castle Panic and Bloodsuckers up for prizes as well.
The Bash takes place at the DoubleTree Hotel University (1617 IH-35 North, Austin, TX 78702) and starts at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and ends Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 at the door. We’re hoping to make this a big annual event, so come on out and get Austin game on!
