During our Summer Tour we stopped in at All Things Fun! in West Berlin, New Jersey and played a few demo games of Castle Panic with Wes and Jess, who just happen to be the hosts of the All Things Fun! Podcast. I had the opportunity to answer some of their questions in a short interview which has been posted for your listening pleasure in mp3 format here. Continue reading All Things Fun Podcast

When we started our Summer Tour, my original plan was to update the blog from the road and keep everyone updated as we progressed from state to state and made all our stops. Well, between a really aggressive schedule and some very spotty internet coverage, that plan didn’t work out so well… Continue reading Summer Tour 2010 Wrap Up

Wow, that was a lot of fun! We just got back from Columbus, Ohio and the Origins Game Fair and we had a blast. The show was huge and we met a ton of fans and made a bunch of new friends. Unfortunately, we didn’t come back with the Origins Award, but just being nominated and having such great exposure still feels like winning to us. Continue reading Origins, Origins and more Origins!
Last Saturday was the big day for the Give 2 Game charity event and it was a lot of fun. The turnout was much bigger than last year and it looks like the donations were more than twice what was made last time! It didn’t hurt that there were tons of games available and lots of people to play them with as well.
Hey all, just wanted to drop a quick reminder that Give to Game, the board game charity event, is going to be taking place this Saturday, April 10th in the Fellowship Hall at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church 4622 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78745 It runs from 10 a.m. until midnight and all it takes to get into a day full of free games, giveaways, auctions, and more is either $20 at the door, $15 online, or 1 bag of food at the door.
We’ll be there playing games, running demos and helping out a good cause. Plus, there will be a chance to win a copy of Castle Panic at the event as well, so come on down and join us.
Give to Game is a board gaming charity event that benefits the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. It’s a great way to play some games and hang out with other gamers while doing some good for Central Texas families. This will be the second year our friend (and fellow game designer) Dan Manfredini has put this unique event together and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Well it’s much to early here in Austin, but I’m about to head out to Las Vegas for the GAMA Trade Show. I’ll be at the PSI booth in a few hours taking in all the goodness of the convention and showing off Castle Panic. Later tonight there’s a special game night where I’ll be running demos non-stop as well. Oh, and did I mention it’s in Vegas baby?!
If you’re going to be attending GTS this year, please come by the PSI booth and say hello! I’ll have more updates soon.
BGGCon wrapped up over a week ago and it went great. We’ve eaten more than our share of Thanksgiving turkey since then, and now it’s time to report back. We arrived late on Wednesday, so we weren’t able to set up until Thursday morning. We were sharing our vendor area with the guys from Steve Jackson Games and AEG. It didn’t take long to figure out that this would be a fun group to hang out with. Continue reading BGGCon wrap up!
We’re heading up to Dallas tonight to get set up for the start of the BoardGameGeek Convention tomorrow (BGGCon for short). We’ll be selling copies of Castle Panic, meeting lots of new folks and people we haven’t seen since last year’s convention, and generally having far too much fun than should be allowed in 4 days.
As such, there may be a delay in email responses, but things should be back to normal by Monday.
Hope to see you there!
Our panel discussion last Saturday was a lot of fun. We had a great time discussing games, game development, publishing and more. One thing that became even more clear during that discussion was that Austin is literally full of gamers. Continue reading Austin is full of gamers
