Give to Game is a board gaming charity event that benefits the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. It’s a great way to play some games and hang out with other gamers while doing some good for Central Texas families. This will be the second year our friend (and fellow game designer) Dan Manfredini has put this unique event together and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.
Participants to the event will have access to a large library of games as well as chances to win door prizes, auctions, and raffles for even more games. The event will take place on Saturday, April 10th at the Fellowship Hall of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church located at 4622 South Lamar Boulevard in Austin, TX 78745. The doors open at 10 a.m. and won’t close until midnight. Admission to Give to Game can be either one grocery bag of food at the door, or $20.00 at the door, or you can register online for $15.
Fireside Games is proud to be a sponsor of Give to Game along with several local Austin game stores. I’ll be there playing games and running demos of Castle Panic as well. In addition, Thought Hammer is offering a special deal just for the event that will get you free shipping to the event and they will make a donation for you as well.
All in all, it should be a fun time, so if you’re going to be in the Austin area this is a great opportunity to have some fun and help out a great cause.
