Happy Birthday Castle Panic!

Posted on 2 Comments

Sgt. Pepper may have taught the band to play 20 years ago, but on this day last year, Castle Panic officially hit the streets.  We had been touring and promoting the game before the release, but this was the official “Big Day.”

We had our release party at Wonko’s Toys & Games, a local game store here in Austin and it was a ton of fun getting to show off our new game.

I remember it as though it were a year ago. . .
"and now I'll show you how a Giant Boulder works."

Aside from being a sales success, Castle Panic has toured the U.S. and been to multiple gaming conventions, had fabulous reviews from dozens of sources, been added to the shelves at Barnes & Noble and was nominated for an Origins Award.  All in all it’s been an incredible first year.

If there’s one thing an occasion like this deserves, it’s a party!  So in order to properly celebrate the event, we’re going to throw a Castle Panic Birthday Party.

We’ll be celebrating at Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy (6111 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78757) on Sunday the 26th from 2-6 p.m. There will be free giveaways, tournament games with prizes for the winners, and an extremely cool cake.  Anne-Marie and I will both be there if you’d like to ask questions or get something signed.

If you haven’t played Castle Panic yet, this will be a great time to come by to learn how to play and join in the fun. If you’re already an experienced Castle defender, come by and show us how it’s done. You might win prizes!

We want to thank all our fans who have made this such an amazing year and made our game the success that it is. We hope you’ll join us as we look back at a great year and get ready for more good things to come.

Share the Fun
