Mo Rocca recently hosted a great little segment on CBS about his introduction to the world of board games. Interestingly, a lot of this piece was filmed at Gen Con last year. I even recognize the space where they are playing, but I never saw the camera crew. Oh well, I guess I was a little busy myself. Continue reading CBS News Segment on Board Games
Castle Panic has received a lot of really good reviews. So many in fact, that I’m going to have to redesign the “Reviews” section of the page to get them all to fit better. But that’s my problem and it’s not why I’m writing this. Continue reading Why DID We Build Our Castle Here?
I missed this one when it first came out somehow, but Gamingnight has a video review of Castle Panic posted on his YouTube channel. It’s a great “man on the street” review and it sounds like his gaming group is getting a lot of table time defending their Castle. Continue reading Gamingnight’s Video Review
There are quite a few people out there doing video reviews of board games these days. They’re a great way to show how a game looks, plays, and what players should expect. With the latest review up at Games with Hayden.com we may have a thumbs up from our youngest reviewer ever!
Happy 2010 everyone!
What goes better with a new year than new game reviews! Not much when it’s none other than Tom Vasel (and his faithful assistant Melody) from www.thedicetower.com. The two of them sat down and made a great video review of Castle Panic. They give a nice overview and tell you what they like about the game.
Brian from GamesOverboard.com has just posted a great video review of Castle Panic on their website. It’s quite entertaining. He and TJ do a great job of showing off the game and telling you their favorite parts. Continue reading Games Overboard Review of Castle Panic
Scott Nicholson of www.boardgameswithscott.com fame has just posted a new video review of Castle Panic and it’s fantastic! We sent the game to Scott hoping he would have the time to review it and we guessed he would probably enjoy it, but this is something else.
Like all of Scott’s reviews, this one is really well done and he covers every part of the game with great detail. (In fact, I’m going to have to rework the “How to Play” video I’ve been working on because of this!) The best part though is how much Scott “gets it“. His review really captures the spirit of the game the way we intended it to be played and his excitement is contagious.
If you’ve never seen one of his reviews before, you’re in for a treat.
