Munchkin Panic is only 8 Days away from hitting retail shelves near you! As is tradition here at Fireside Games, we are throwing a party to celebrate.

You can check out the official Munchkin Panic webpage, watch the Unboxing video for the game, or view the other Munchkin Panic videos we made explaining the differences between it and its parent games, and how Anne-Marie blended all-for-one game play of Castle Panic with the all-for-me game play of Munchkin in this awesome new hybrid!

Munchkin Panic can be purchased through your Friendly Local Game Store starting October 8.

Munchkin Panic – A Peek Under the Helmet

Posted on

How do you show people a game BEFORE the game is available to be shown? That was our conundrum when trying to come up with a way to share the art and details behind Munchkin Panic when we didn’t have a copy of the game to share yet.

Then, our brilliant Sales & Marketing Manager Kris said, “Why not make a photo book of the art with details about the game design and what makes it different from both Castle Panic and Munchkin?” And we all applauded and then got to work! “Munchkin PanicA Peek Under the Helmet” was born.

While this project was initially intended to be a print project it became clear we had some great information to share will all of you. So, we turned it into a slideshow. Then we decided it was kind of dry with no sound so our Marketing team turned the slideshow into a movie and narrated it for your viewing pleasure.

We hope this answers some of your burning questions, and maybe even generates some new ones. We are very excited to be sharing this information with you and will be adding more videos about the making of Munchkin Panic and showing you what the actual game will look like as we get our production samples and it gets ready to hop on a boat and make its way to your game libraries.

You will be able to view the printed copies of this book at upcoming shows in the booth of our friends at Steve Jackson Games, as well as in our booth at GenCon (along with the advance copy demos we’ll be running).

New Product Announcement: Munchkin Panic!

Coming Fall 2014!

Cover Art for Munchkin Panic by Fireside Games

We are excited to announce our next new game: Munchkin Panic!

The Munchkin Monsters have invaded the Castle Panic Towers and are on the rampage! Anne-Marie De Witt has designed a crazy, clever, and addictive new game based on designs by Justin De Witt (Castle Panic) and Steve Jackson (Munchkin) in what is a semi-cooperative game of all-for-one meets all-for-me!

Players combine cards to hit Monsters before they destroy the Castle. Each defeated Monster becomes a Trophy and gives up its Treasure to the victor. If players work together to defeat the Monsters, they up their chances of survival and the player with the highest point count becomes the Master Munchkin. However, if players get too greedy, the Monsters will stomp the Castle to the ground while players are busy fighting over Treasure!

Two worlds collide in this game of hopeful, desperate, and addictive twists featuring the iconic Munchkin art by John Kovalic and the innovative play design of Fireside Games and Steve Jackson Games.

The game accommodates players ages 10 and up and can be played solo or with up to 6 players at a time. MSRP is $39.95.

Stay tuned for more details as the game enters its final development phases and goes into production. Be sure to ask your Friendly Local Game Store to carry this title and watch for it on shelves this Fall!
